Millennium & Copthorne Hotels

We had a visitor, back in the early spring of 2023. Turned out she’d seen Natalia’s work on-line, and decided it was just what she wanted. She was an architect, undertaking the design of a major refurbishment for the Millennium Hotel in Queenstown, and the Copthorne in the Bay of Islands. She wanted a number of local watercolour landscapes for use behind the bedheads in the new premium suites at each hotel. Following discussion as to the brief, Natalia produced a number of “draft” works and then created final paintings of those selected in the required dimensions.

The hotels have the original works, but have digitised them for use as 2m wide x 1m deep images to be located behind the bedheads as a wall frieze, in their premium suites.

It was an exciting project, and provided a whole new dimension to Natalia’s painting.
